Pierre Gasly started a new chapter in his career in 2023. After years with Red Bull's teams, the 2020 Italian Grand Prix winner moved to Alpine. He had an average first season with the French outfit. Gasly may have been pleased with his one podium finish and the fact that he beat teammate Esteban Ocon, but 11th place in the overall standings likely left him wanting more.
In 2024, Alpine struggled for much of the year but ended the season on a more positive note. Gasly finished 10th in the championship and once again outscored the aging Ocon over the course of the season. His performances were enough to convince Alpine of his long-term value, earning him a contract extension beyond 2024. Now firmly established as the team leader, Gasly will be aiming to build further momentum heading into 2025.
